…washi tape fashion show…

I’m on a hop!  Do you LOVE, LoVe, love washi tape like i do?  It is some type of side effect of the “art supply hoarding syndrome” i have.  I don’t know WHAT it is about washi tape, but i just can’t get enough.  Yes, crazy, i know.  For me, it’s the perfect accessory for my art work.  My sweet art friend Aimee Dolich over at Artsyville has just launched her fabulous art on a SIX ROLL collection of washi tape!!  I aodre her and her whimsical style, we are perfectly matched “art soul sisters”.

This is my Artsyville tape fashion show!  My favorite use of washi tape is to attach and frame my lettering pieces into my art journals.  These are samples of hand lettering with a white Signo gel pen on scrap paper lunch bag. I cut it into smaller shapes and wrote some fun phrases referencing:

  “My Washi Tape Philosophy”.

  1. I love to use washi tape in my journals and also creating with my grandchildren. They ask me everyday if they can paint, stencil with me. I say, SURE let's create some art…..Judith, Texas

  2. I always use washi tape down the centers of my journal pages…and I use it as borders as well on my journal pages…..LOVE washi tape…and Amie's new line is wonderful..would love to win some:):)

  3. I love your lettering. I am excited to be taking the Strathmore class this month! I love washi tape, and Aimee's line is so very colorful. I plan to use it to edge the pages of my No More Excuses 2014 Moleskine!! My favorite use for washi tape is creating borders and divisions in my daily journal.

  4. My favorite use is collecting washi tape. I admit I've purchased some, but haven't used ANY yet! I like to buy it, hope to use it, but don't want to give it up, so it sits there in my craft room waiting for me to share tape with others. But, sometimes, it's just to pretty to share even a little bit.

  5. I am not sure I have a favorite way…I just like all ways! I use it in art journals, wrapping gifts, or adding a little fun and color to a tag for a gift.

  6. What a fun looking tape!! Most of the time I use washi tape to hold my paper when I run it through my Big Shot or I want to cover something while stamping, but this cute tape can be used on my cards, canvases and journal! Thanks for the chance!Carmen L

  7. I love using it to seal cards I send out for a little extra + lately I have been into making fun bunting using baker's twine and washi tape. Super cute and way fast and simple! My speed!

  8. I love using washi tape for so many things! I love decorating notebook covers just like we did in your first Letter Love online workshop!! Thanks for the chance to win 6 awesome rolls!!

  9. I love to use washi tape on cards and to hold small packages together! Thanks for the inspiration on how you use it! Thanks for the giveaway, too–fabulous tape!

  10. Favorite use? That's to much to write her :-)I use it for cardmaking, gift wrapping, pimping stuff, in my art journal, to put drawings from the girls on the wallI stick it everywhere…..

  11. OMG… how to pick just one favorite thing to do with washi tape?!?!?! I like to add it to my collages. It adds just an extra something to finish my pieces. I've also started jazzing up my boring office supplies… that way I can tell when someone in the office has "helped" themselves to my pens/pencils. 🙂

  12. I've used it on packages and envelopes I mail out. The clerks at my p.o. always love to see what I bring in to mail! I'm starting to use it on cards and in my journal.
